Just 30-miles from Downtown Salt Lake City, Solitude Mountain Resort is a pure, authentic and untarnished Utah territory. Serene or extreme, there's nothing between you and the perfect mountain day. Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, the resort offers eight chairlifts, 77 runs, three bowls and 500 annual inches of snow spread over 1,200 acres for skiing and snowboarding. Solitude is divided into two distinct areas from which to begin your mountain adventures — the Moonbeam and Village base areas. Moonbeam generally services day skiers and riders while the Village area is home to most of the resort’s lodging guests. In addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding, Solitude also has 20 kilometers of Nordic skiing trails groomed for skate and classic styles, as well as a set of snowshoeing trails.
From slope-side Himalayan cuisine and cozy yurt dinners to dynamic contemporary American cuisine and mouth watering pizza, Solitude takes dining to the next level using all locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients in all of its restaurants.
Solitude’s lodging options include a collection of condominiums, townhomes and private homes managed by Solitude Resort Lodging’s team as well as a full service hotel, The Inn at Solitude. A full range of room types are available, from ski-in and ski-out hotel rooms to luxury condominiums and homes with full kitchens and a variety of comfortable amenities.
All of the lodging options offer full concierge services as well as ski lockers, access to Club Solitude’s fitness center, game room, media room, outdoor pool and hot tub.
